About the Artist

“Making artwork has been the driving force throughout my life. I found my passion with my first paint-by-number when I was in the second grade. My formal education began with two dedicated high school art teachers who made sure the studio work was balanced with art history studies. Our Art Club went on trips to the various museums in New York City, further cementing my love for the arts.

I graduated with a BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA. As an illustration major, my course work required a wide spectrum of studies including painting, photography, typography, printmaking and endless studies of the human form. I completed an internship at the Academy of Natural Sciences. The experience afforded me the opportunity to work with dioramas and natural artifacts, as well as assist with the installation of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists exhibition.

As a professional artist, I have regularly exhibited in juried shows throughout the US. My work was influenced by extensive travels in this country, including the natural majesty of Alaska. The organic has always been a priority in my paintings and drawings and the beauty of Central New York has inspired me since I settled here to raise my sons. Two solo shows at the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn and the designing of two official posters for the town's "Great Race" were ideal platforms to share my work with the community.

I then became interested in faux finishing and the world of interior design, and have applied my aesthetic sense to this area. I am constantly developing my skills and design sense. I am fueled by new challenges and rewarded by client satisfaction.”
